Your Personal Tour Guide

A one-man operation

I will be your guide. My name is Pablo (Paolo to my friends). I have lived in New Jersey for more than 25 years and before moving here, I lived in Queens for a little over two decades. I used to cross the 59th Street Bridge, on the East River daily and loved the views from there. When I moved to New Jersey, however, I realized the views from across the Hudson River were much more attractive. I was speechless the first time I saw them, one evening at sunset when the sun hit Manhattan’s glass buildings and the reflection illuminated the sky. It was love at first sight. Since then, I’ve been coming to the waterfront as often as I can, taking countless long walks with my dog, Lorenzo. Whenever I get visitors from out of town, I bring them to this area. Their reactions are what ultimately motivated me to create this tour. They are always the same: complete amazement, particularly when we encounter for the first time a panoramic view of the whole of Manhattan Island, a dream-like scene, worthy of a Kurosawa movie.

I’m a seasoned traveler

I have lived in Rome, climbed the Tour Eiffel in Paris, marveled at the Piazza San Marco in Venice, the Red Square in Moscow, and the Great Wall in China; cruised the Nile, explored the Greek islands,  Ephesus, and Petra, and swam in Tulum and other Caribbean beaches. And I rank the New York Skyline as one of the great wonders of the world, with an unmatched sunset.

I like to explore places on my own and meet locals. That’s what my tour is all about: a friendly local who will take you to wonderful places and tell you the stories behind them. No corporate greed, no tourist traps, no lines, and no headaches if you want to cancel the tour for any reason
